門司港レトロ地区にある鉄道の歴史を楽しみながら学べる記念館。明治時代建築の赤煉瓦つくりの本館には当時の客車の展示や811系近郊型電車の運転台で実際の路線風景での運転を疑似体験できる運転シミュレーターがあります。その他、敷地内にはC59型、9600型などの懐かしい車両や信号などを備えた本格的な設備で本物の列車と同じような運転体験ができるミニ鉄道もあります。
