生きることの本質を、芸術から考える AITは2001年、現代アートに興味がある誰もが学び、対話し、思考するプラットフォームづくりを目指して、6名のキュレーターとアート・マネジャーが立ち上げた非営利団体です。 設立から四半世紀を目前に迎える今、私たちが生きる世界は、はかり知れない危機的な環境問題や人権問題、世界的疫病の流行など、複層的で困難な状況を一人一人が考える時代にいます。特に、地球規模で進行する気候危機の影響は深刻で、近い未来、地球上の全ての生命が前代未聞の環境の変化の中で生きることを余儀なくされるといわれています。 AITはこれまでに培った経験と知見を生かし、世界に広がる協働パートナーとともに、芸術文化を通じて持続可能な社会に深く関心を寄せ、次の20年の歩みを進めていきます。 近年取り組んできたテーマ、ホリスティック（よりよく生きる）を中心に、芸術を、より複雑で感覚的で、これからの時代を生きぬく想像力を養う「道具」*として捉え、芸術が果たしうる役割と未来について考え、行動を起こしていきます。
